Sports betting fans asked if England will succeed in 2012.
Bookmakers William Hill has revealed odds for the 2012 European Championships, following the draw yesterday (February 7th).England have been drawn in the same group as Switzerland, Bulgaria, Montenegro and Wales and are 1/2 favourites to finish on top.
Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand is 4/9 favourite to start England's first qualifying game as captain.
Fabio Capello's team are 15/2 to win the tournament and 33/1 to win it in addition to this summer's World Cup in South Africa.
"Fabio would have to be happy with that draw. There are two competent sides in there with them, but it looks straightforward," said William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
The England goalkeeper spot is also up for grabs and despite conceding five goals against Manchester United, ex-Liverpool goalkeeper David James is 5/4 favourite to grab the number one jersey against the USA, while Robert Green is available at 2/1 and Joe Hart is offered at 7/2.
