Bookmakers reveals Defoe golden boot odds

Sports betting fans may wish to bet on whether Defoe will finish top scorer.

Bookmakers have revealed odds on how Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe will fare during the remainder of the season.

Defoe is rated at 40/1 with bookmakers William Hill to score three or more hat tricks for Spurs during the remainder of the season following his three-goal haul against Leeds United on Wednesday (February 3rd).

The north London club face Aston Villa at the weekend and Defoe is 33/1 to bag three.

"Defoe could have scored a double hat trick against Leeds and has been firing in the trebles like Phil Taylor this season, surely he'll hit more," said William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Defoe is second favourite to be Premier League top scorer this season and is offered at odds of 6/1 with William Hill, which makes Manchester United man Wayne Rooney 4/11 favourite to take the golden boot and makes Chelsea's Didier Drogba available at 13/2.

Harry Redknapp recently described Defoe as the best finisher in the modern game.
