Bingo prize of £253,000 won by Hounslow woman

Bingo hall enjoys multiple cash prize success.

A lucky bingo player has won £253,000 playing the game at the Hounslow branch of Gala Bingo.

The winner, who has chosen to remain anonymous, won the full £3,000 jackpot prize and found that because she had scooped the High Five jackpot her winning increased further, reports the Hounslow Chronicle.

House was called on the number five meaning that every bingo player in the hall at the time of the win took home a cash prize of £3,906.25.

Lynda McNamara, 64, one of the individuals who took home a share of the winnings said: "I have been going to Gala Hounslow since it opened and was sat in my regular seat very close to the jackpot winner when she shouted house. We were all so excited for her."

Ms McNamara added that she plans to take her grandchildren to Disneyland with her winnings and described the experience as life changing and "dream come true".
