Bookmakers provides odds for Liverpool to grab fourth spot.
Bookmakers William Hill has revealed the latest odds in the race for fourth place in the Premier League this season.Rafa Benitez's Liverpool boosted their chances of grabbing the coveted final Champions League place with a 4-1 victory over troubled Portsmouth at Anfield last night (March 15th).
The Reds have now been cut from 3/1 to 9/4 second favourites to finish fourth with William Hill, who make Roberto Mancini's Manchester City available at the shortest odds of 7/2 to do so, while Aston Villa and Spurs are offered at 4/1 and 5/2 respectively.
"Liverpool kept their hopes of fourth place alive but still have plenty of work to do," said William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
The Merseyside club travel to Old Trafford on Sunday to face Manchester United and will be hoping to keep in-form striker Wayne Rooney - formerly of city rivals Everton - firmly under wraps.
