The winner of Crufts is expected to be a gundog, a bookmakers has revealed.
A bookmakers has slashed the odds of a gundog winning this year's Crufts from 7/4 to 2/5.William Hill has seen a surge in bets from people who are adamant the breed will take the title.
Other odds available include a hound taking the top spot with odds of 7/1 and a terrier coming in at first place with odds available of 8/1.
A toy dog being crowned Supreme Champion has odds of 10/1, while the outsider with odds of 14/1 is the working breed.
Commenting, William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams said: "It looks like we have been collared, 95 per cent of bets have been for gundog and we might well have shot ourselves in the foot by betting on this."
The doggy event is set to be held at the Birmingham NEC between March 11th-14th. Gundogs will be showcased by their owners on the last day of the event, a Sunday.
Outsiders the working breed will compete alongside pastoral dogs on the first day of Crufts.
