Bookmakers reacts to another Liverpool defeat.
Bookmakers William Hill has revealed the latest odds for the future of Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez following the Merseyside club's 1-0 defeat against Wigan Athletic last night. The Spaniard is now available at odds of 5/6 to still be Liverpool manager on the first day of next season and is available at the same odds not to be.
"Liverpool were a shambles against Wigan - the fans won't put up with that for much longer and if there isn't a rapid improvement he'll come under even more severe pressure," said William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
The Reds have also been lengthened from 7/4 to 3/1 to finish inside the top four this season and failing to do so could see star player Fernando Torres look to move on.
The Spanish striker is available at odds of 13/8 to not be at the Anfield club on the opening day of next season.
Liverpool have not won the top-flight since Margaret Thatcher was prime minister.
