Bookmakers asks if Hatton will quit

Sports betting odds revealed for potential Khan versus Hatton fight.

Bookmakers William Hill has suspended betting on boxer Ricky Hatton retiring during 2010 following a string of requests to bet on the Hitman doing so.

However, the bookmakers are still uncertain about whether this will be case and think that a fight against Amir Khan could be a possibility.

Odds of 6/5 are available for Hatton to win any potential fight, Khan is offered at 8/13, while the draw is a 25/1 chance.

"Ricky would have every chance against Khan, but we would not be averse to seeing him retire as he owes the fans nothing at all after a terrific career," said William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

He added that too many formerly-great boxers have been persuaded into doing one last fight which often ends unfortunately for them.

The 31-year-old Mancunian's last bout ended in defeat against Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas in May 2009. Pacquaio previously ended the career of Oscar de la Hoya.
