Bookmakers gives odds for Gordon Brown's future.

Bookmakers William Hill has opened a market on what Gordon Brown will do next in his career after politics.

The prime minister might favour maintaining his position at number ten but the result of the general election tomorrow (May 6th) could give some indication of his future.

Odds of 5/1 are available for Brown to become a banker, including high-profile positions such as becoming the chairman of RBS or Northern Rock, while it is 6/1 for him to become a tax advisor.

However, some punters may fancy a more unusual bet and the current prime minister is offered at 50/1 to become the next manager of Raith Rovers and is 500/1 to become a presenter of the BBC TV programme The One Show.

"I think we will have great fun with this market as we all have opinions of what we hope he will do," said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
