A politician has taken time out to play bingo and lent his support for taxes to be lowered.
A politician took some time out from the campaign trail to play bingo with his mum and office team.Edward Timpson, the Conservative candidate for Crewe and Nantwich, spent an evening at Mecca Bingo in Crewe.
As a member of the club for a number of years Mr Timpson has been campaigning for bingo to be taxed at the same, lower rate as other forms of soft gambling.
In the last year he has written to the government, received a lobby of parliament and spoken in the House of Commons about the matter.
Mr Timpson said: "Everybody I've spoken to can see the tax is unfair to the industry and effectively discriminates against women and older people."
He added that he had fun playing bingo and bumped into many people he knows, including some he has helped in his surgeries.
Fans of the game might wish to consider giving online bingo a go.
