England are the longest odds they have ever been for a World Cup with bookmakers.
Bookmakers are offering odds of 16/1 on England winning the 2014 World Cup, following the conclusion of this year's event.Fabio Capello's side crashed out in the second round in South Africa after a 4-1 defeat to Germany.
The poor showing has led to William Hill pricing the Three Lions at the lengthy odds, with spokesman Graham Sharpe saying it is the largest price the bookmakers has ever produced for the team.
"After the debacle of their campaign this time we need to offer such odds to have any hope of attracting any one to back them," he adds.
Brazil are the 7/2 favourites to lift the cup, followed by Argentina at 6/1 and Spain at odds of 9/2.
Fans of the other home nations may be interested in odds offered on the likes of Scotland - who are 250/1 to bring the famous trophy back to Edinburgh - and 100/1 outsiders the Republic of Ireland.
The 2014 World Cup will be hosted by Brazil, the first time the five-time champions have held the tournament since 1950.
