Poker Tournament Set For Broadcast

A top prize of $1.5 million is available at the event.

Fans can keep up with every step of the world's most prestigious poker tournaments, providing they have access to television channel ESPN.

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) announces its event will be broadcast on the station from the early hours of Wednesday (July 28th), with coverage starting at 01:00 BST.

On the opening night, the show will feature competitors who have recently been fighting it out in the $50,000 buy-in Poker Player's Championship.

Lon McEachern and Norman Chad will be on hand to guide views through the entertainment, which saw a top prize of $1.5 million (£971 million) up for grabs.

As well as the cash on the table, a coveted WSOP bracelet and the Best All Around Poker Player title are available to the winner.

The conclusion of WSOP's main event recently meant the qualifiers for the important November Nine poker tournament due to take place later this year are now known.
