Bookmakers Offers Odds On England Euro Success

England are 1/3 to beat Bulgaria at Wembley.

Sports betting fans could back England to get their European Championship qualifying campaign off to a flying start this week.

Bookmakers 888sport.com rate the Three Lions as 1/3 hot favourites to defeat Bulgaria in the opening match of the group stage at Wembley on Friday (September 3rd).

They then travel to Switzerland the following week, with a pair of poor results on the back of England's weak World Cup exit perhaps meaning the end for coach Fabio Capello.

"If England were to lose either of these games Fabio's position would look under threat. If they failed to win either of them, resignation could beckon," says William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

The firm offers odds of 10/1 on the match in Basle being Capello's last in charge of the team.

England will also face Wales and Montenegro in Group G as they bid to reach the finals in Ukraine and Poland.
