Bookmakers Reports "Frenetic Betting" On Ayr Gold Cup

Horse racing fans may be turning to online gambling websites this weekend as the William Hill Ayr Gold Cup gets underway.

Saturday's (September 18th) field is headed by the 5/1 favourite Poet's Place, while the sponsor makes Hawkeyethenoo the second favourite at odds of 8/1.

The latter is rated by the bookmakers as the most consistent horse in the race, so could attract attention from those looking to place a wager on the outcome.

Kate Miller, spokeswoman at the firm, says: "The William Hill Ayr Gold Cup is maintaining its reputation of one of the most frenetic betting heats of the year with a number of well-supported contenders."

Other horses that may be considered by online gambling users and sports betting enthusiasts include Victoire De Lyphar at odds of 10/1, 11/1 shot Genki and 12/1 option Definightly.

Last year's Ayr Gold Cup was won by Jimmy Styles, ridden by acclaimed jockey Frankie Dettori.
