Ben Lamb is in the running for the WSOP 2011 title.
The latest poker tournament in the annual World Series of Poker (WSOP) event in Las Vegas has been won by Ben Lamb.The champion of the 2011 Pot-Limit Omaha World Championship has also learned that his success has propelled him to the top of the standings for the event as a whole.
Lamb won the 42nd gold bracelet contest of WSOP's run in the Nevada city, with 16 events still to come.
He was rewarded handsomely for his triumph, as it was the largest prize pool in the history of the event.
But his eyes may now be on taking the overall WSOP title, as he stands at the front of the 50,000-strong field that has taken part in at least one of the 42 competitions to date.
WSOP's stay in Las Vegas is due to continue until July 7th, when the No-Limit Hold'em Championship brings down the curtain on the showpiece event.
