Vettel is now 1/14 to win the world title.
One bookmakers has revealed it was dealt a blow over the weekend when Sebastian Vettel raced to yet another victory in the European Grand Prix.William Hill said the result was a bad one for its balance sheet, with the young German now closing in on a second world championship, despite there being 11 races to go.
"Vettel really is number one, he is now punters' banker every fortnight to be on pole and he keeps delivering on the big day too," said the firm's spokesman Rupert Adams.
The bookmakers is offering odds of 50/1 that the Red Bull star wins all of the remaining grands prix, while it is 13/2 that he fails to win the championship.
A market of the other contenders is headed by Lewis Hamilton, who is a 16/1 shot to take the title, Jenson Button at 22/1 and Fernando Alonso at the same odds.
Vettel has won six of this season's races, with Hamilton and Button triumphing once each.
