A total of 58 events are being held at the Rio in Las Vegas.

A spectacular finish to this year's World Series of Poker (WSOP) is being promised by competition bosses.

With only 12 of the 58 gold bracelet poker tournaments being played at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino complex during June and July now remaining, WSOP has assured players and fans alike of a tremendous finale.

It noted that a total of 53,018 poker players have so far taken part in the various events to have been completed, contributing to a prize pool of $93,745,185 (£58,557,801).

The Main Event is yet to come and organisers have revealed the most comprehensive qualifying period in history will take place in the run-up to it, such is the level of interest.

Indeed, it is said that the 2011 WSOP will be go down in history as the most popular and keenly-contested poker festival of all time.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Ben Lamb had become the latest player to win a WSOP gold bracelet.
