Sam Holden, a 22-year-old from Kent, will sit round a table with eight other men to play a game of cards in less than four months, online gambling fans may be interested to learn. However, the former University of Kent student will not be taking his place at an ordinary table.
That's because he'll be participating in the legendary World Series of Poker, where there's more than $28 million up for grabs.
Holden has already guaranteed himself a minimum $782,115 pay-out - almost £500,000 - after making the final table.
"It's absolutely insane to think I'm in the last nine of the World Series of Poker," he told Kent Online.
The youngster added: "It was always a dream to make it this far but I never really expected it to happen. It still hasn't really sunk in.
"It would obviously be disappointing to finish ninth, but I'll be happy as long as I play well. I'm definitely going to play to win it."
