Online Gamblers Urged To Be Cautious

The public remain unaware of risks associated with insufficient licensing and regulation of the gambling industry, it has been suggested.

It has been confirmed that the UK Gambling Commission maintains a 'whitelist' of countries which provide appropriate regulation for online gaming licenses.

Under the current approach, a casino is not allowed to advertise in the UK if it does not have a license from one of these whitelisted jurisdictions.

That, though, does not prevent UK citizens from joining these potentially risky sites.

"People usually have no idea if a casino has a license from a country approved by the UK Gambling Commission," Philip Jones, manager of Top 20 Casino Reviews UK, commented.

"With literally thousands of casino websites available to UK players, the new resource is dedicated to providing players with only the most reliable licensed casino information."

In other news, the UK's largest casino was opened at the new Westfield shopping complex in Stratford, east London, last week.
