Majority Of Full Tilt Players 'Will Get Nothing'

A gaming industry source has suggested that the majority of people who were victims of the Full Tilt Poker scandal will walk away with nothing, online poker players may be interested to learn.

Presently, a French investment company is on the verge of an ambitious takeover of the site.

However, while Groupe Bernard Tapie is considering handing some players equity in the new-look group, it is speculated that the offer may only extend to those owed major sums by the firm.

The ordinary online players, therefore, are set to miss out on the money they are owed.

Speaking to pokerjolt.com, a London-based source said: "Several bigger players left this deal alone precisely because of Full Tilt's liabilities.

"Any rescue bid would have to recognise that and place an upper-limit on potential payments, or it simply isn't a viable business."

He added that while it may be impossible to minimise fines, the new owners may be able to put a cap on how many players they compensate.
