New research has suggested that internet gamers may be comfortable taking bigger risks than others, online poker players may be interested to learn.Headed by Dr Sally Gainsbury at Southern Cross University, the study found that 80 per cent of those people who take part in internet gambling bet on racing and sports.
Furthermore, the report found that just 20 per cent of Internet gamblers take advantage of online casino sites.
"Research shows people look at their mobile first thing in the morning and last thing at night, take it to the bathroom with you," Dr Gainsbury commented.
"This is something that allows you to take a bet anytime the mood strikes."
Last week, meanwhile, an article appearing in the Manchester Evening News said that the easiest way for online poker players to maximise their winnings is to understand how to "play the game".
To this end, the publication encouraged gamers to make an extra effort to familiarise themselves with all of the rules of online poker.
