The government in the Isle of Man has once again urged potential operators to publically declare their interest in applying for the island's newest casino licence. With the application deadline set for January 31st, the government is calling on interested parties to move quickly.
Although the government claimed that it has received applications from hundreds of applicants, it remains keen to see other prospective casino operators throw their hats into the ring.
"We have been pleased with the number of interesting responses we have received to date," John Shimmin, minister for the Department of Economic Development, remarked.
"The Isle of Man feels that the time is right to diversify its dynamic and growing economy through the establishment of a permanent hotel and casino resort, providing a further location for gaming activities for residents and visitors alike."
Previously, the government claimed that a new casino facility would help to stimulate the local economy by creating lots of new jobs.
