Plans to build an impressive new casino facility at the NEC in Birmingham have been recommended for approval by planning officers.Genting Stanley hopes to spend £120 million on creating Resorts World at The NEC, which is set to feature a ten-screen cinema, restaurants and a new hotel.
Additionally, the plans also include scope for a spa facility.
The firm behind the plans has claimed that if they are given the go-ahead, as many as 1,110 permanent jobs will be created, the majority of which will go to people in the local area.
Furthermore, the ambitious construction project will create 1,750 jobs for its duration.
Borough councillor David Jamieson, a member of the council's Licensing Committee, told the Solihull Observer: "The approved project will bring substantial benefits to Solihull and the wider region in terms of job creation and regeneration and will play a key role in the future prosperity and success of the NEC."
