Super Computer Defeated by Humans in Poker Contest

Are humans are better at poker than computers? This question was settled on Tuesday night, as two professional poker players battled a computer program in a game of poker and won 2 out of 3 matches and one draw.

Danish Court Rules Poker A Game of Skill

Poker has been classified as a game of skill by a Danish municipal court last week. The court ruled that winning or losing in poker is based on how much skill a player possesses and not on how lucky the player is.

New Jersey Casino Control Commission Approves Electronic Table Games

The CCC, the regulating body for Atlantic City casinos, has agreed to the testing implementation of electronic poker and roulette games in the resorts.

The testing is designed to help the casinos keep their labor costs down.
