Emerald Casino License Was Revoked Legally

In Illinois, The State Appellate Court have ruled that the law which allowed the Emerald Casino firm to move its operation to Rosemont does not prevent the Illinois Gaming Board from revoking the firm's gambling license.

Man Surrenders After Showboat Casino Standoff

A six-hour standoff outside the Showboat-Casino Hotel came to a safe end yesterday. A masked man blamed the casino for the suicide of his brother, and demanded $3 million. The man eventually surrendered peacefully.

Atlantic City Gambling Ring Bust

An illegal sports gambling ring ran out of a poker room in an Atlantic City casino has been closed. The bust occurred on Wednesday, and resulted in 18 people, including four with mob ties, being arrested.

2005 WSOP Seniors Winner Arrested
