Editorial guidelines for submitting news articles

777.com is interested in well-written news articles concerning the online and offline gambling world.

Guidelines that all articles must follow:

  • All submitted material must be original and unique. Submitted articles may not appear anywhere else before they are published on 777.com. Articles published on other sites subsequent to publication on 777.com must include a reference to 777.com.
  • All news articles must be informative, clear and follow the basic rules of journalism.
  • The news articles must have proper English, grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization and sentence structure. Your article must be consistent and double checked for accuracy.
  • Basic punctuation includes a space after each period, colon, or semi-colon; Periods should be inside of quotes; never put a space before a period or a comma.
  • Choose one to three categories (one minimum, three maximum) which you think fit your article the best. The categories are: Gaming, Travel & Casinos, Entertainment, Technology, Las Vegas, Sports, Poker, Business & Finance, Law & Online Gambling.
  • No self promoting is allowed in the article itself. Self promoting links, the writer’s homepage for example, are only allowed in the writer’s biography section. The "Related Links" feature allows you to post relevant links to the article’s subject only.
  • Sources for non-mainstream information must be cited and accurate.

Article structure

Articles must be structured in the following way:

  • Headline – The headline’s first letter and also every proper noun must be in upper case.
  • Blurb – write a short description or teaser for your article (no more than 250 characters).
  • Body – the article itself (no more than 1500 words and no less than 200 words). Please do not repeat the headline in the body.
  • Keywords – write 6-8 of the central words that appear in your article. Example: "online gambling", "casino", "Las Vegas".
